Gabriel Elias is nine

My easy-going boy, the baby who was always contented, the toddler who didn't throw his first fit until he was 26 months old, he turned nine yesterday.  Although he has developed a wee temper that emerges now and then, he is still the most contented and relaxed of all my children.

He was born at about 1:30 in the morning on the feast of St. Andrew.  Rachmaninoff''s Vespers were on the CD player, and a blessed candle burned beside the sleeper sofa in the livingroom, where he was born.  The urge to push came upon me and he was out on three.  The midwife arrived much later!











We love you, Gabriel.  May God grant you every conceivable blessing throughout all your years...
