Yarn Along--First Frog of 2011

Joining Ginny's first Yarn Along for the new year...I was off to a good start making one last Aviatrix for this winter when I realized that somewhere I went from the instructions for smaller size to the instructions for the larger.  This is what happens if I don't use a highlight marker to mark my instructions.

The yarn is a combination of this yummy, pale pink mohair a sweet lady sent to me before Gemma was born and a silk/cashmere in a bright rose pink I got from eBay.  I am too impatient to work with fingering weight yarns, so I wound the two together  and got something between a sport-weight and a DK.

I frogged it this morning and have decided that there may be enough for a spring baby sweater.  Instead, I am going to try to cast on something else later today or this evening.

Better success with your own endeavors!

  8. Beautiful yarn! That is the beauty of knitting. I like that if something doesn't quite work out, I can take it out.
