Bathing al fresco

It's been unbearably hot and humid lately.  Gemma needed a bath, and I decided to give her one in the antique wash tub.  It's a nice change from the laundry sink.

This tub was up in my grandparents 120 year-old attic in Bavaria.  It was full of old bricks and junk.  I guess it must have been retired after they got a washing machine.

I knew I wanted it the moment I laid eyes on it.  Luckily, no one else really cared.  All my kids have taken their turn being bathed in it.

If I live long enough, I'll bath grand-babies in it.
