{this moment}: the eyes have it

{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.  SouleMama.

  10. Actually, the black eyes occurred on two separate days! Gemma got snapped at by our farm dog who is an outdoor dog and really sweet, but not so much a family pet, and she likely grabbed his foot, which is injured right now(I was terrified when I saw how close to the eye he got. Everyone is on strict orders to give him space until he is healed up). Dominic got hit by a stick one of the kids had tied onto our rope swing the very next day!

  11. Oh no! We had a similar incident when our daughter was snapped on the eye by our docile cat. A little overdose on catnip made him crazy. We applied comfrey steeped in olive oil, and it healed up so quickly!

  15. Thank you, Elizabeth! I started this blog for myself and my family, and to connect with other home-schooling Catholic moms, but it is always such a pleasure to know that other people like it, too!

  19. They both look like they are proud of their marks. Children are so resilient though, it won't take long for them to fade, just in time for them to get some more LOL.
