A scary future for America

My friend, Marilyn, has been writing a few politically thoughtful posts the last couple of days, and I was especially impressed with this link she offered to an article published by Stanislav Mishin in the Russian newspaper Pravda. I sent it on to a number of people, and my friend Jennifer in South Carolina sent me another amazing link: a 1985 interview with Yuri Bezminov that details this decades-long slide into Marxist Leninism. It is astounding that this interview took place over 20 years ago...

  2. Ugh. My hubby has told me about both of the things you shared here today. Until a few minutes ago I had not read/viewed them for myself. I'm both very grateful and very sorry that I now have. This is scary, scary stuff and I can't help thinking we just might all be scr*wed.

  3. I know what you mean, O.W...I feel the same way. On the one hand, I feel obligated to stay informed and to inform others, because just closing my eyes will not make it go away, and I want to raise my children to know what they may be up against. On the other hand, I find it terribly frightening and wish I could indeed make it just go away.

I keep hoping that I am just an alarmist and that like those folks who prophesied total disaster with Y2K, I will be completely mistaken and the world will just be okay...

  4. Thank you for posting this. I’m really struggling with what feels to me like an awakening to the horrors Yuri Bezmenof is outlining in his interview. I’ve been feeling like I’m off the deep end a bit and feel like I’m watching a train wreck in motion but that no one else can see it happening. Sort of odd.

I’ve found from time to time that when I’m in doubt about a topic and I ask God for guidance he will put info in my path to confirm what he is showing me, and I believe this interview may be that confirmation.

If our concern for the manipulation Yuri Bezmenof is off base, what’s the down side? We’ve educated our children in conservative thought, we’ve taken a more active roll in politics, we’ve become more involved in our communities? How bad can that be?

May Our Lady protect us under her starry mantel as we fight the good fight of faith.
