Whirlwind

Oh, it has been another whirlwind of a week!  I have a long list of "To Do's" every day and usually a few things end up bumped to the next day's list.  I ended up with a mountain of laundry to fold today, an Etsy order to mail out, a cut list to write up for the butcher, a shopping list to make up, emails to answer and when I get to the point where I feel completely overwhelmed, what to I do?  I spend an hour watching The Monkees with my daughter on YouTube.  And add another item to tomorrow's list.

Allergy season has been late this year, and I have been dealing with fairly annoying sniffles and itchy, burning eyes lately.  No fun.  Luckily it seems to be only me who has it.  The kids have had pretty mild allergies so far this year.

Pink Floyd went to the butcher this morning.  He got a very nice bath yesterday; Bret scrubbed him down until he was more pink than he'd ever been.  I am truly sorry to see this one go, but then again, it has been well over a year since we've eaten pork (I just won't buy it from the supermarket), and I'm rather looking forward to it.  Our beef is pretty much gone, so I will be trading some pork for some beef with my sister.

We sent out another bunch of wooden swords and shields to a retailer in California.  Apparently the first shipment sold very well.  I think Bret and I might want to work a bit on promoting the wholesale end of  Frost Lane...I rather like the idea of our things in shops here and there around the country.

Anyway, I just thought I would stop by my blog and dust it off a bit; seems that I haven't been keeping it very well lately!  I have post ideas, but lack the time to write intelligently about anything right now.

Or to end a post elegantly...

  1. Whenever I have so much to do that I shouldn't sit down, I do just that. And then proceed to start some new task, a new book. Sometimes it can be just the break you need! I have always admired your swords and shields. Perhaps for my nephew's birthday...

  2. Hee hee - giggling at the "or to end a post elegantly." I am forever challenged in that department too.

Your shipment of swords looks beautiful! Such treasures you are creating.

  4. I can never end a post elegantly either. I love your Etsy shop! My oldest has been all about knights and dragons lately. I'm definitely admiring them as a present idea for him. I tend to do the very same thing when I get overwhelmed with tasks. Sit, ignore the tasks for a day, & attack them the next day. I hope your allergies improve soon. Mine finally died down this week. I cannot tell you how excited I am that you found my blog through the KCCO link up!
