A good mail day

Today had its ups and downs.  I rose in a fairly upbeat mood, but unfortunately a few of my kids woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and by lunchtime they had pretty well dragged me down to their level.

All of this turned around, however, after the mail came.  Una received an anxiously awaited letter from one of her sweet pen pals,

Sebastian received the latest issue of the Lego magazine, much to the elation of all the boys,

And I received a package with sheets of felt in a pretty array of pinks, from which I hope to make Gemma a birthday crown.

Gemma didn't get anything in the mail, but was in a pretty good mood all day nevertheless.

Don't you just love a good mail day?

  1. Isn't it lovely how good mail can help uplift an otherwise downwardly spiralling day! I am awaiting something I ordered for one of my girls. I can't wait for it to arrive. I had a very challenging day today and could have done with it arriving today. Jacinta

  2. Prayers for you all today! Tell Gemma her mail day is coming and please forgive all the tape... I tend to over-do it every time! Please let me know how her appt. goes. +JMJ+

  3. Getting mail for me is always a great boost for my day. I am currently living in Tennessee serving a mission and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone I meet. That can sometimes get discouraging so it is always uplifting to get mail from friends and family back home.
