{pretty, funny, happy, real}: 26 May 2011

I am joining Rosie on Like Mother, Like Daughter for this week's {pretty, happy, funny, real}.

{pretty}:
The view from my back yard.  The view at the new home site is nice, but not as nice as this(click on it for a larger view) ...

...even the manure spreader looks good in these surroundings.

{happy}:
Splashing in warm puddy muddles in the afternoon.

{funny}:
All my kids love to dress up.  Adrian likes to make me gasp when he does (this one's for you, Cindy--pray for your Godson!)

What, your 10 year old son doesn't have a mustache?

{real}

Snapping turtle up close.  Way too close.  The photo credit for this one goes to Una, as I would not venture to get this close to a snapper without a telephoto lens!

    We have a Nadja too and we spell her name the same way :)

    Beautiful farm. I'd love to own a patch of dirt one day.

  11. what a beautiful farm!

    about boys in dress up--- after I made my boy a prince cape and crown, he has dressed up only in that. It isn't fair when only girls get the fun stuff--- or go to Goodwill and get some hats and suits and stuff-- and refuse to gasp when he ends up in a dress, he wants to shock everyone ;)

  12. Priest's Wife--we do have a full range of boy dress-up stuff, actually more than for the girls, since I have 4 boys. Usually Adrian is a Ninja or a knight or a hobbit. But now and then he thinks it a riot to appear as the world's most appalling princess!

    The foot picture makes me miss grass and all that awesome plantain that goes so wonderfully there!! Colorado is very red and brown - for sure not green...

    Your pictures are beautiful!
