Our Lady of Lourdes

A Prayer to Our Lady of Lourdes

Oh ever immaculate Virgin, Mother of Mercy, Health of the Sick, Refuge of Sinners, Comfortess of the Afflicted, you know my wants, my troubles, my sufferings. Look upon me with mercy. When you appeared in the grotto of Lourdes, you made it a privileged sanctuary where you dispense your favors, and where many sufferers have obtained the cure of their infirmities, both spiritual and corporal. I come, therefore, with unbounded confidence to implore your maternal intercession. My loving Mother, obtain my request. I will try to imitate your virtues so that I may one day share your company and bless you in eternity. Amen.

  1. My husband and I were married at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, so this is a special feast to me. I also love the name Bernadette but have been too afraid to use it for fear of having a daughter called Bernie! I know that is cute, but I am not big on nicknames. :)

I noticed a few posts ago that you took down the picture of your lovely self! You are beautiful and should share!

Have a wonderful weekend. God bless. +JMJ+

  2. Beautiful. I watched a film called Lourdes last night with a friend - don't know if you've seen it. It is about a pilgrim who is healed from MS while she is there. We were left with a very peaceful feeling. Thanks for your heartfelt post. Love Katie x
