Yarn Along--a happy frenzy

Joining Ginny for this week's Yarn Along.  I have been trying to get this post in for the last couple of hours!

Hats...I have done two now using Ginny's pattern, one of them for my Goddaughter, born yesterday, and another for an older girl-baby.  Now I am working on a rolled-brim hat for Gabriel.  I have about one eighth of a pair of fingerless gloves on the needles as well, and plans to start my first Milo for Gemma.

Una and I have been enjoying these Christmas-in-other-countries books we got at a thrift shop for 25 cents apiece.  They are full of traditions, recipes and crafts.  I am still reading The Mostly True Adventures of Homer P. Figg to the kids, but I am getting our Advent reading basket together now, so we will have other things to read.

  3. Oh I just marvel at what you ladies are capable of creating. I am thinking that it would be a peaceful hobby to start in Jan. Great job and the books sound so interesting. My children would really enjoy those!

  7. No new camera yet--not in the budget right now. I can take a decent shot, but it is a crapshoot--pun intended--as I cant see what I'm shooting because it looks fuzzy in the viewfinder. I take a lot of pictures on the auto setting and hope for the best...!

  8. That hat is going to be so pretty. Congrats on your Goddaughter! I am so jealous, I have no grandchildren. I think I ought to start advertising more among my friends... :)
