Few things are as frustrating for a regular blogger as a computer being down. My laptop has been down since the middle of last week, and although I still have the PC in the office, it is in almost constant use by other members of the family for math, writing and whatnot. My laptop's hard drive was shot and I thought that when I got it back from the very expensive technician yesterday with a new hard drive that I would be back in business. But no...I couldn't get online this morning, and the techie is going to have another look at it.
Actually, it hasn't been too bad. I have spent less time online and a lot more time reading, knitting and cleaning the disaster area that is my workroom, and I am very pleased with the results.
Una's birthday was celebrated a day early, on Sunday with gifts and a chocolate-raspberry cake. She is 13 now, my first teen! Yesterday and today have been spent on various pursuits: Una has been working on writing and drawing, and the boys have been making a hot air balloon. We will give it a try in a little while and see if it gets off the ground.
I am hoping to get my Yarn Along post in tomorrow...and to be back on track with a functional computer!
