Yarn Along: Last cast-on for my personal best...

Back with Ginny this week for another wonderful Yarn Along.
I have put the buttons on Una's Sweet Peasy, but have not yet taken any photos of it for Ravelry.
I have a sleeve lengthened on Gabriel's hooded tunic to match his right arm; now I am working on matching the other sleeve to his left.

And I have just started working on Adrian's Henley, which is in Knit Picks Swish, in the color Truffle.  He finds most yarns itchy, but thinks this one soft enough, and the color matches his chocolatey eyes beautifully.  I would be further along if I hadn't noticed at one point that I had missed an increase somewhere, and I went back six rows or so before finding it.  It took me longer to carefully undo those 6 rows than it would have taken to knit 18.  Anyway, it is the last of the six fall/winter sweaters I wanted to have done before Christmas.  I say this knowing that I have a stash of yarn and a long line of queued up patterns I still want to knit for the kids...

My mindless, "take anywhere" knitting is Una's leg warmers.  I grab this bag whenever I am at a place in my other knitting where I have to actually engage my brain, and I need something I can do in the van with incessant interruptions.

I haven't abandoned reading An Exorcist Tells His Story; I just picked up this book for a little lighter reading in between.  I like it very much, but it is just like reading Amanda's blog, just without the knitting.

  2. I always keep a travel knitting bag too, it helps with the traveling.
Funny that you are using a yarn that goes with you son's eyes, I was just looking at yarn colors for the same thing! I have all brown eyed babies except my last who has vivid green! So my yarn colors were browns and greens.
