Right now...it is nearly 7 a.m. and the day looks sunny and breezy. I wrote the better part of this post last night, and spent my early-morning, post-prayer and reading time responding to a few emails...
This weekend...was not too bad, but all rather mundane. Saturday was spent in Bowling Green running errands and shopping, doing a bit of house-cleaning and bathing kids. In the evening we watched an old movie from Netflix and ate ice cream. I also managed to sew up two little flannel nightgowns for Gemma's baby doll, one of her Christmas presents.
Yesterday we went to Mass at the Chapel of Divine Mercy. I got to confession with the kids and Fr. Tony Stevens gave a very good homily. At home the kids payed in the wind, and my! it was really, really windy!
Some plans for this week: I have to coordinate with my sister on our meal plan for Thanksgiving. I'm guessing that will take all of ten minutes, as we always seem to have pretty much the same menu with few variations from one year to the next. I need to do some cleaning--somewhat more than the mere surface tidying up. I need to wipe down the kitchen cabinets, get the cobwebs out of the corners and mop the floors!
If I find some time for myself, I would like to...work on Adrian's sweater, finish Gabriel's, and make up a few little things for the Etsy shop (yes, I am trying to get what I can into the shop before Christmas!)
I am grateful for...too much to put here. All the little things and many big things, too.
Some prayer intentions for this week: for the health of my parents; for the repose of the soul of our good neighbor, Gary; for the sale of my dear friend's farm, if it be according to God's will; for the special intentions of a blog-friend; for the continued health of my family; for our house-building project to move along smoothly.
Something that makes me smile: Patch O' Dirt cart-sailing (I told you it was windy!)
As always, I invite you to post your own Monday Musings. Just grab the header image for your post and link back here. You can leave a link to your post in the comments, if you wish.
Have a good week!
Wishing you a happy (birthday) week! Love the pictures of the kids! Peace, love, and prayers, Annita +JMJ+
ReplyDeleteWe flew kite in this weekend in our wind, but that cart sailing looks like a ton of fun!
