Yarn Along--Are we there yet?

Hello!  I am back for another Yarn Along with Ginny over at Small Things.
Those of you who have dropped by for the past, oh, month or so are probably really familiar with the above cardigan.  You will note that since last week it has gained a sleeve.  That means I am ready to get on with the body, and I can't tell you how happy that makes me.

The cool mornings and evenings are making me feel a wee bit anxious...I still have two sweaters to do after this one, not to mention the other things on my pre-Christmas list, like knitting slippers, mittens, leg-warmers and hats; sewing skirts and dresses and making Christmas gifts and things for the Etsy shop.  Okay, so I am feeling more than a wee bit anxious as I ponder that list...!

My only reading this past week, other than some of my favorite blogs, has been school related.  And it looks like with all the other things I have on my To Do list, the only reading I will be doing between now and Christmas is reading to the kids (other than the spiritual reading I do in the early hours, that is).  But that's okay, as I really get into some of the stuff I read to them.  We were supposed to start Swallows and Amazons last week, but a trip to the library got in the way of that.  So maybe we will begin today...

If you love knitting and reading, and you haven't done so already, do stop by Ginny's Yarn Along--you'll find loads of inspiration!

  1. Yay, for sleeves and getting to the body! Ever since I saw the tweed you are using I have been trying to come up with an excuse to buy some for here since yours is so pretty. We do have a few cold days so I just might have to get some.

  7. I love the yarn you are using for your cardigan. It looks perfect for fall. I am also feeling a bit edgy when it comes to my ever growing need to knit list. With our move to our new home fast approaching I feel like I just do not have enough time for knitting, reading, or much else for that matter.

I look forward to seeing more progress on your sweater. It looks very cozy. :)

  8. What a pretty sweater. I'm also getting stressed about how much knitting I think I have to do, but I'm trying to enjoy the process and not focus on deadlines so much. Here's hoping you can find more time to enjoy this beautiful sweater!
