{pretty, happy, funny, real}: 8 September 2011

~ Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~

I am joining Rosie this week for another edition of {pretty, happy, funny, real}:

The silhouette of geese flying overhead

The inside of a geode Sebastian found down at the creek on the KY property

...and I am happy along with him, because I no longer have to wiggle his tooth twice a day to see how loose it is!

We are {happy} to have chess games and hot tea on grey, damp afternoons.

Potty training continues to go well.  Perhaps a little too well...

No {real} shot this week.  Our first week of school was off to a rocky start, mainly because of illness, lack of sleep, and lots of rain early in the week.  We are trying to find our new rhythm, and it may take another week or two before it begins to feel natural and not imposed.  The weekend promises drier, sunnier weather and mild temperatures, so it may be just what we need.

  1. Your {funny} is classic! Whatever works :)
I hope your week gets better! We need to find a new rhythm too, I suppose it will come with the start of my bigger guy's preschool mornings next week... Ever the adventure.

  2. I laughed out loud at the potty training photo! I also love the cozy chess game/tea party!

  3. Oh, my goodness!!! I love the potty shot! Too, too, cute! I'll have to remember this tactic for my Little Man.

  4. I like the picture of the kids drinking tea and playing chess! You know I love Miss Gemma in any picture... very cute! +JMJ+

  5. I loved the potty training photo too! And the pic of your son is super cute :)

  6. I love the toothless photo and the potty training brings back memories....(the same colour too)
