Joining Rosie this week for {pretty, happy, funny, real} over at Like Mother, Like Daughter.
{pretty}
{happy}
The funeral procession from the Chapel of Divine Mercy to the cemetery, where Fr. John Molloy, CPM, was buried on Tuesday. I know that funerals are supposed to be sad affairs, but what can I say? He was 93 years old, a devout and holy priest for 65 years...what's to be sad about?
No photos, but our 24th wedding anniversary was certainly happy.
{funny}
You can't have four boys and no {funny} unless you just miss the shot. This is Gabriel, sticking to his bedroom door. Actually, he is holding onto the chin-up bar that I slam my forehead on every time I wear heels over 1" high.

Planning for the school year ahead. No real lesson plans--just logistics.
I guess this could have made the {happy} category as well. Preparing to renew my consecration to Jesus through Mary. I think this is 9th year or so I have been doing this. I did miss a year or so when I was particularly preoccupied with babies...

That funeral procession does look happy! It is the celebration of a joyous life! And your funny pic...life with boys, what can I say!
ReplyDeleteYour funeral photo is so beautiful. My grandmother died on New Year's Day at the age of 92, surrounded by her loved ones, in the home of my dad, her son. It was a blessed passing, and in spite of many sorrows, she lived a joyfilled life. I agree...funerals of those who have lived fully are more joyful than sad. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteschool planning! argh! I haven't even started...your "real" sent a bolt of fear right through me! For real! And yes, I agree there is a lot of funny with boys--but I usually miss the shot....
ReplyDeleteYour 'beautiful' is lovely, as always, and I agree the 'happy' is very joyful indeed. But your 'funny' truly takes the cake!!! Fabulous shot! (and the contrast with the ethereal picture on the wall is just fantastic...)Blessings to you as your prepare for renewal! (and no comment on the other 'real' - I recognize those print outs and I'm not ready to look at them yet...)
ReplyDeleteThe third cloud picture is just beautiful. John is sitting here with me, and he was concerned your son might not be able to get down! I assured him he had gotten down safely... that he wasn't still stuck up there! It's exactly the kind of thing John would do himself with no thought or worry about how to get down! +JMJ+
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, as always :)
ReplyDeleteI love your {funny} - oh the fun I have to look forward to.
That photo of your kid "on the wall" is great. :)
ReplyDeleteWell done -- and funny funny pic of the boy on the wall! I could not figure that one out!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are wonderful!! Of course I can't help favoring the one of your upside down boy though... mine is 24 years old and he's still nuts!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Debbie
