Joining Leila at Like Mother, Like Daughter for this week's edition of {pretty, happy, funny, real}...

Our Fiona. I think Jerseys are just beautiful!

The block foundation is up on our new Patch O' Dirt! Finally!

When I went on the Mother-Daughter retreat with Una this past weekend, Adrian insisted vehemently that I take Dolly with me. And I did.

Not a good photo, but a mama on the brink of a breakdown doesn't take good photos. Do you see that lump on Gemma's forehead? Can you actually fail to see it? She likes to spin in circles while playing the music on her Baby Bach toy (after 9 years, it is still my favorite baby toy); she gets dizzy from all the spinning and usually falls down at some point. This time when she fell, she fell onto the toy itself and a lump of enormous proportions developed. Time to cut bangs...? This child is going to finish me off.

That cow is just gorgeous...we love cows! We love goose eggs, but not on foreheads.:( Can't wait to see more of that foundation...beautiful post.:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful farm pictures! Beautiful daughter as well even with the goose egg on her forehead. I grew up with six brothers and had many a lump, scratch and bump. All a part of a wonderful childhood. She won't remember the goose egg just the singing and twirling! Good luck my friend.
ReplyDeleteI agree! The cow is lovely! Is the foundation for a house? I am looking forward to watching the progress!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry about her bump. My daughters are currently spinning in circles together in the family room because it is too wet to go outside and they are desperate to relieve some of their energy. Hope she heals quickly. Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday - it was nice to meet you!
ReplyDeleteI agree, the cow is beautiful! There's something about the youngest, eh?! I am sitting outside right now watching Hope, John, and Marin run around, playing tag, spinning in circles, laughing, and squealing... however, in all likelihood there will be some tears at some point when someone gets hurts! :) Have a great weekend! +JMJ+
ReplyDeleteOh, that bump! My 3yo has a shiner because he stood up into the corner of a table :( These two together might make quite a pair, because he's about to finish me off, too!
ReplyDeleteThat cow is so pretty. When I was young, I always wanted to stop and pet the cows. We lived in the suburbs. LOL
ReplyDeleteLovely cow picture! Thanks for shairng!
ReplyDeleteAw, poor baby!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to show my husband your pretty cow - they're his favorite animal (he grew up on a farm), and he'll love that you chose one as your "pretty" photo!
I love Fiona!
ReplyDeleteI hope your little one's head is better soon. Sometimes I think it's harder on us mamas when they get hurt, then it is on them!
What a gorgeous cow picture! I could almost smell her! Love it!
ReplyDeleteFiona is a very pretty cow. Love that photo. Poor Gemma, but my rule wiht my boys has always been, "If you're not bleeding, you're fine." That is a goose egg to be proud of. lol Hope she feels better soon and that you do too. =)
ReplyDeleteFiona is quite the doll, as are all jerseys. I think they are the prettiest of all cows. My parents ran a dairy farm for sometime when I was young and the jerseys were my favourites. How exciting about your house. Looking forward to seeing the process. As for lumps on heads, my son is very good at doing just that. In fact he was spinning at a friends place the other week and went to run off with a toy, slipped and fell head first onto the toy that he had had in his hand. It was an instant egg lump too. Jacinta
