Well, not really, but with temperatures in the teens and low twenties, I don't feel compelled to go anywhere. It is much nicer to be inside with the kettle going, the cookies going in and coming out of the oven and something constantly on the knitting needles and craft table.
I don't have much time to read, other than picture books to the children, but i am browsing through a lot of my Christmas books, most of them, like this one, thrift shop finds.
I have two of the six roses knitted with which to embellish Una's scarf. I think she will like it (I hope!)

I would love to know where you got the rose pattern for knitting. I want to make those for a rosary basket for my little ones (as seen on the blog Waltzing Matilda). Yours look just lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh what a lovely, lush scarf! I love finding great old books :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks like it will be a very pretty scarf! And that book looks like an awesome thrift store find!
ReplyDeletelove that new header, friend. i was just wondering the other day when you were going to "winter-ize" it a bit...as i know you are truly experiencing winter!
ReplyDeletehope all is well with you. that chenille is so soft and girly looking. una will love it!
stay warm. xo.
Oh I just love this scarf and the little flowers that you have added this week :) Enjoy the rest of your week!
ReplyDeleteRoses are so fun to make, aren't they? I made two itty bitty ones for the toes of the first baby booties I ever made, poor babe nearly didn't get them, I wanted to bronze and keep them for myself they were that cute!
ReplyDeleteOh, I LOVE your new header. I'm definitely having a hard time with the sunshine here. Not that I don't like the weather, it's just so odd, it being almost Christmas and a steady 70-some degree weather outside. The roses are pretty and look so soft. I bet the scarf is going to look great with them.
ReplyDeletethe header is beautiful and I love the scarf colors, glorious!
