Well, not really, not this morning. But I was having a particularly crabby day yesterday, and try as I might, I couldn't seem to shake it. I would tell myself to get over it, to show a little Christmas cheer, and then the kids would begin bickering again and I would lose my resolutions. Didn't help that my tummy was messed up all day yesterday.
Joining Ginny at Small Things for the last pre-Christmas Yarn Along. So much fun to see what everyone is knitting and reading!
Gift knitting is done with. Dominic keeps asking me to knit him a new hat, and I have told him that I am on a knitting break until after Christmas. I need time to wrap gifts, package cookies to be gifted, clean the sorely-neglected house and trim boys' hair and iron.
I did finish up one of these addictive little balls last night. All wool, with all the anti-bacterial properties of wool, making it the ideal material for dealing with baby drool. Lightweight enough that the boys can hurl them with great velocity and do no damage.
As for reading, I am still reading just Christmas stories to the kids right now, besides my morning devotional reading (My Daily Catholic Bible and In Conversation with God), and not too much of that, either. Thankfully, there are twelve days of Christmas...hopefully after the 25th the pace will slow a bit!
If you don't make it back here before Christmas, I wish you a beautiful and blessed one!
Here's to a better day today!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
Cute, little balls ... I'm reading a lot of Christmas stories, too, and that's about all. Which is OK. Because I enjoy them, too =)

ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your family. Cheers~
ReplyDeleteYesterday was definitely a downer day here too. Christmas cheer was lacking all around. Sleep appears to have helped though!
ReplyDeleteThe balls look fun!
Those balls look perfect! It's amazing how amusing a simple ball can be to children of all ages.
ReplyDeletewhat a great idea for your little one! seems you could add some to your christmas tree too if you wanted. : )
ReplyDeleteCool little balls! I bet my boys would love them. Love the color of that yarn.
ReplyDeleteOh those little balls look great! I made a bunny bowling pin set for my daughter at easter and we've been using a tennis ball to knock them down but this would be so much better :) Hope you had a lovely Christmas!
