Well, I bit off more than I could chew with the paper mache lanterns for Michaelmas. They will have to wait around for All Hallow's Eve to become something more than balloons with a layer of mummy-wrap. So instead I quickly made up half a dozen of these watercolored paper lanterns. For safety, I put those little battery-powered flickering tea candles in them. We still need sticks on which to hang them.
I finished one pair of corduroy pants for Gemma, and I have another to do. I think I may make a little skirt for her from the leftover red corduroy.
I am working on another set of leg warmers, as well, the first pair having turned out very nicely.
And then there are a few other things I have going on, about which I cannot post, as the kids do look at my blog. Let's just say that I have something cooking on every burner. Let's just hope I don't burn out...
Your are so good! We had angel food cake and angel hair pasta and did a color sheet! It was all I could manage today.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Marin would go wild over those leg warmers! I will have to look the next time I am out since I am not the gifted knitter that you are! Don't you just love when little ones get up on their toes... cute pants! I am feeling a bit inferior at the moment!!!
Peace and prayers, Nadja! +JMJ+
Dear Nadja,
ReplyDeleteYes we didn't do as much as I wanted either. Still have to post about it but we did do a play that I made into a slideshow, we did on last year too so it is kind of a tradition now. Our kids LOVE these acting out of special days.
I love your knitting and those pants are so cute. I have some new patterns for little people to make some clothes. I jsut need to start now
God Bless
Gae
Oh my goodness, I have made leg warmers from women's knee socks (similar to Babylegs) but I LOVE the knitted ones! But alas, knitting and I are not great friends. Sigh...
ReplyDeleteThe leg warmers are great - and the pants too - such lucky children.
ReplyDeleteWarm wishes, Tonya
oh, those are cute both the pants and the leg warmers. One day I tell you I will learn to knit.
