Prayer Campaign for the Holy Father

I was surprised to find out that there are Catholics who are unaware of how maliciously the Holy Father has been attacked by the media lately, and equally unaware of the Newman Society's Prayer Campaign for him.  I was looking this morning for some of the news articles so that those who read this blog might witness how viciously he is being attacked, and I came across this post, which links to several.  Many thanks to Jean of Catholic Fire.

I encourage everyone to please offer many prayers between now and Pentecost for His Holiness Pope Benedict.  He is our dear "Papa" and begged our prayers upon his installation as pope.

    I'm not Catholic and I even defended him against someone recently talking trash based on the ill informed New York Times article.
