An update on Madeline Therese

I thank you all for your continued prayers and the encouragement of those who have had premature babies. I pass this on to Cindy, and I know it means a lot to her.

I spoke to her last night. She is doing well and will be released from the hospital today. It will be sad for her having to leave the hospital without a baby! Her main issue is getting her milk to come in so that it will be there when needed. She will be moving into a Ronald McDonald House two blocks from the Hospital for a couple of months, until the baby can go home. Madeline weighed in at 1lb 15oz yesterday, and her big sister, Katie (17) took photos of her with mama's ring around her arm! Hopefully she will send the photos on to me so that I can post them. Maddie is apparently very pretty, and has a head full of dark hair.

Friends are getting meals together for the family and figuring out what else we can do. Katie is very capable and mature, but even for a capable, mature 17 year-old, playing mama to a bunch of younger siblings for 2 months is a daunting task.

I thank you on behalf of Cindy and her family.

  1. I have made this baby (and family) a part of my daily prayer intentions and look forward to hearing her progress. Peace and prayers!
