1) I made bread, butter, mozzarella and 4 gallons of laundry detergent this week.
2) I finally got to an appointment that I had canceled four times.
3) I am caught up in correcting a pile of my daughter's Saxon math lessons (whew!).
On the down-side, I think we only ate one really decent dinner this week!
Now, for me to really feel the week was a success, I have to still bake a cake and wrap presents for Adrian, cut Dominic's hair and tackle at least half of the ironing that is starting to look textile-art Mt. Everest. Wish me luck!
Hope you had some small (or great) successes this week. Click on the title graphic to share the joy!
Don't you love homemade laundry soap? We've been making ours for the past year and I can't go back! Congrats on your successes this week...
ReplyDeleteI do...it seems I need to pre-treat stains a bit more with it than with the commercial stuff, but that isn't too bad. I add a few drops of lavender oil to a gallon and it smells so good!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your successes this week! I'm impressed with your homemade items! :) I hate to iron, so I feel your pain there.
ReplyDeleteI just posted my own Small Successes HERE if you'd like to drop by. :)
How do you make your laundry detergent, Nadja?
ReplyDeleteI have the laundry soap labeled under my Recipes. I'll admit, on lights and whites I do add a scoop of Oxyclean to boost it's cleaning power a little.
ReplyDeleteThe Zote soap can be replaced with Naphtha soap (I don't use it...they changed the original formula and it has some chemicals I don't want in my soap) or with old fashioned lye soap, which I pick up at the Mennonite store.
ok, i was going to do my small successes for this week, but your #1 alone makes me feel like i haven't really accomplished much.
ReplyDeletehats off to you tennesse mama... i do envy your beautiful life.
