It is our (Catholic) holiday(All Hallow's Eve), and she will not let the devil worshipers and wiccan folks take it over. She dresses her kiddos up as Saints and has an All Saints party, followed by neighborhood Trick-or-Treating.
Her very strong stance really Tamihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13545454885908647405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6691883299905666578.post-3517765650417729822009-10-29T14:39:24.521-05:002009-10-29T14:39:24.521-05:00It's a little far, but you guys are always mor...It's a little far, but you guys are always more than welcome to join in the Nashville homeschooling activities. We do have an All Saints' Day party as well as other stuff, should you get the urge to come to the big city. I am not a big fan of candy and sugar - and don't like devilish costumes - but that aside it really is an American tradition - my kids usually dress as Saints. Last year though it was a political theme - Abby was Sarah Palin and Nick was Joe the Plumber. This year they are on their own - they have to come up with their own costumes!!

Marilynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04100296835463461946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6691883299905666578.post-20506416143466044012009-10-29T12:07:19.899-05:002009-10-29T12:07:19.899-05:00I agree with your friend. I am quite at peace now with the younger four having a mildly spooky good time! The older kids are happy, too, that Mom has relaxed a bit over the years. My children know their Catholic faith well, and Halloween is something fun fromMom2Sevenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16556390705963609169noreply@blogger.com
