Would you expect anything less from someone who takes pleasure in correcting spelling and grammar in our local paper?

Mr. Sanders, by the way, was my pedantic English teacher in high school. The man was scary and had exceedingly high standards and I detested him...until I graduated and realized that he was the only teacher who ever really taught me anything of real value.

  1. Hi there,

I just stumbled across your blog this morning. That quiz is great- I also ranked English Genius, with 100s across the board, which is nice since I'm currently training to be an ESOL teacher. :-)

While the quiz was fun, I had to leave a comment because I couldn't find an email address to tell you I have not come across another American Nadja who spells it with a J! My name is Nadja as well, and I am also Catholic (although my middle name refers to the angels rather than Mary Magadalen). I wonder how you pronounce it, because I can rarely get anyone in the US to do it properly. My J sounds like an English Y, and should be 'Nad-ya, but I usually get Na-juh, Nad-juh, Nad-i-a, Nazha, etc.

anyway, I know that's a bit off.. I was looking up Catholic t-shirts when I came across, and when I saw your name listed I had to say something - I may never find another American Nadja with the same spelling again. :) if you are interested in the name similarities, I have an email address in my profile.

keep up the good work, keep praying, and all the best.
